31.7.1997. Analysis of July 1997 in Euskal Herria.

THE "JULIAZO". IN JULY 1997 THE SPANISH GOVERNMENT ORGANISED AGAINST THE BASQUE LEFT NATIONALIST MOVEMENT THE BIGGEST FASCIST MOBILISATION KNOWN IN EUROPE SINCE THE EXTINCTION OF NAZI GERMANY.

1. Of all stories in History, the saddest one is the Spanish. Because it doesn’t have a happy end.

2. The event that triggered the JULIAZO off: ETA (Basque Revolutionary and Socialist Organisation for National Liberation EUSKADI TA ASKATASUNA) kidnapped and killed the town councillor of the PP Miguel Ángel Blanco Garrido.

3. Six million demonstrators? Franco´s "Plaza de Oriente" again. Again the Spanish and fascist grotesque falsification of reality.

4. Another example of a demonstration where impossible and implausible amounts were given: Zaragoza.

5. The MADE UP demonstration of Pamplona and the made up half a million of Bilbao.

6. The Spanish Government and media have lied so much about the magnitude of the demonstrations of the JULIAZO: a) because it is in their nature, b) because their objectives required it and c) because they knew they would manage to make many Spaniards and many foreigners believe them.

7. The strategic fact of the TV to have become the centralizer of the daily life of Spaniards and the most important channel for their misinformation. The analogy to the fascist radios of Mussolini and Hitler.

8. The audience of 25 million viewers that followed by television the weekend programs about the town councillor was the trigger to the mobilisations.

9. Objectives of the mobilisation: to create a scapegoat, to crush dissidence (present and future), to attack the Basque Country and to strengthen Spain as (sinking and vanishing) mother country.

10. «Nights of Broken Glasses». The spontaneous attacks to HB headquarters led by policemen disguised as angry citizens and called by «pacifist» groups. And protected by policemen in their uniforms.

11. The sociologist Carlos Malo de Molina prostituted his profession when he allowed that, in order to support the made up news that HB would lose 30.000 votes after the death of the PP councillor, EL MUNDO roughly distorted a poll directed by him.

12. EL MUNDO, following what EL PAIS had began, got also involved in Spanish cyberterrorism, through the fascist attack to freedom of speech Spanish «pacifists» made on the US node of APC (Association for Progress in Communications).

13. Phoenix with no previous ashes, Herri Batasuna made on 27 July more than 40.000 people march along la Concha Promenade in San Sebastian. Of course, no Spanish media published the simple picture taken from Igeldo or Ulia or a helicopter. And they lied to «prove» that HB has lost influence.
